Practice Areas

Brian has represented hundreds of noncitizens from all over the world before U.S. immigration judges at Colorado’s Denver Immigration Court. He has successfully litigated numerous removal defense cases resulting in relief for his clients in the forms of: asylum, withholding of removal, U.N. Convention Against Torture relief, cancellation of removal, temporary protected status, suspension of deportation, removal of conditions, et cetera.

Brian has represented dozens of noncitizens at the Colorado branches of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – attending client interviews with asylum officers, USCIS officers, and ICE agents. He has successfully assisted his clients in receiving U.S. immigration statuses such as: removal of conditions, adjustment of status, lawful permanent residence (green card), and naturalization to U.S. citizenship.

Brian has represented scores of noncitizens at Colorado’s Aurora Immigration Court, at bond and custody redetermination hearings. He has successfully secured the release of numerous clients on bond by litigating custody redetermination hearings before U.S. immigration judges, as well as release on parole by conferring with ICE to secure his clients’ release outside of contentious courtroom litigation.

Brian has researched, drafted, and filed many appellate briefs to both The Board of Immigration Appeals and USCIS, on a variety of types of cases. In so doing, he has successfully argued for the reversal of erroneous and unfavorable outcomes in clients’ cases before USCIS, and has had unfavorable judicial decisions overturned and remanded back to immigration court for reconsideration and re-adjudication by U.S. immigration judges.

Attorney Biography

About Brian Clark

Brian Clark Legal

Attorney Brian Clark grew up in Northern California, where he studied Spanish in high school and at college in the 1990s. A study abroad term in Madrid, Spain, sparked his love for international travel, and following his graduation in 2000, Brian spent his early twenties living and working overseas, in Costa Rica, Ireland, and Spain. After attempting to navigate the byzantine Spanish immigration and employment bureaucracy without an attorney, Brian came to identify with the interests and difficulties of foreigners, expatriates, and immigrants everywhere.

Brian later attended law school in Los Angeles, where—following graduation and the bar examination—he went on to practice plaintiff-side employment law and estate planning as a partner at Bucher & Cameron LLP. After moving to Colorado in 2017, Brian refocused his legal practice on U.S. immigration law, which has been his area of specialty ever since.

Whether he is engaged in courtroom litigation, legal research and drafting, or liaising with ICE on behalf of his clients, Brian remains a passionate and formidable advocate for the rights of noncitizens from all over the globe who are living and working in Colorado.
